The restoration and rehabilitation of our historic public and institutional buildings have been a continuous segment of our building design portfolio. Primarily structural in nature this work often requires the input and support of our mechanical and electrical engineering groups.

Completed projects include; roofing replacement and wind damage investigation, structural façade investigations and rehabilitation, interior and exterior refits, historic preservation/rebuild of stonework & masonry for the rebuild of major historic public buildings, and smaller-scale building envelope assessments and repairs.

Building Condition Assessments

We offer multi-discipline, building, and related infrastructure condition assessments for individual facilities and extensive building portfolios.  We apply the principals of ASTM E2018 and ASTM E1557 as part of our standard assessment methodology and can provide customer-specific, standalone reports, or coordinate with a third party, facility condition assessment software platforms.  Assessment teams can be tailored to address building envelop; interior and exterior finishes; electrical, mechanical, fire safety and communication systems; structure; and exterior above or below grade civil works.  Building and facility condition assessments have been delivered in all provinces and territories, including arctic facilities that are only available by helicopter.
